To My Beloved Friend In Heaven, Rick Wilson (“rick-A-Lick”) Poem by Jamie Ries

To My Beloved Friend In Heaven, Rick Wilson (“rick-A-Lick”)

For all the times we talked
And the times we shared a laugh.
For all the times we sang Albertson songs together
And never once held back.
For all the times you made me smile
When my world was looking blue.
For all the times I never cherished
Until this tragic day came true.

God took you from this world
Because you were too good.
He knew what heaven needed
was a little more livelihood.

He saw your care
toward those around you.
And your will
To make it through.

You saw the light shining through each tunnel
And always knew what to say.
But now we find you speechless,
Because today is God’s day.

For your life was full of value
And you cherished those you loved.
Though we will not see each other
You will always be thought of.
