Once again, dad, the day is here
For us to cherish our dads
But for me, it never stops
It has never been just a fad.
I miss you every day of the year
So many things I remember
From the time I was a little girl
Your birthday the 12th of September.
Loving you and the things you'd do
As I followed you through the day
So hard working you always were
‘Till your death you remained that way.
Each time mom poured your coffee
Your arm snaked around her
"Who's little girl are you? " you'd say
I remember though other things a blur.
Daddy's little girl I was no matter what
"I love you, " I wish I could say
Hopefully in heaven you know
I cherish the memories this Father's Day.
