To My Dear Friends Poem by Hina Waqar

To My Dear Friends

Rating: 2.9

When the night was dark and deep
Through the eyes of evil the darkness peeped
When the depression grew lethal
Debilitating was the agony
When the images shattered
And the thoughts rattled
Gutted my soul the pain
Realised I how much I was insane
Gruesome were the thoughts
What awful lessons the life taught
Worthless I was thought I
Satisfy none could I
Someone in this shadowy word
In my ears whispered a word
Who realised me I am worth
Whose majestic spells worked
Among the cold facers
The figure wasn't a stranger
Who showed to me the path of light
Against the future taught me to fight
in the dark shadows
I realised the figure was none but my friend
