Dear mother,
Writing a poem for you is one of the most difficult things ever.
Easy to say you somehow captured my heart forever,
And you are the epitome of her.

Your words are always perfect,
Your touch heals every painful aspect.
The thought of losing you becomes another regret.

I think at times I may make father jealous,
When we are a pair we make a better and more perfect us.

When you smile I take a mental picture,
Save it in my mind so every time I close my eyes I can have it forever.
The amount you mean to me is more than I can ever decipher.

Sometimes persons say you and I are a similar pair,
I shake my head and say no because little do they know how much I compare.

You have experienced and been through so much,
More than my thoughts or words can ever touch.

I can speak to you about love or anything,
You always give life more meaning.

You are my perfect mommy,
A love's kiss to a beautiful symphony.
The older version of my beauty.
