RIC S. BASTASA

To My New Object Of Affection - Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

it does not really matter to me
if you tell me a lie
if you tell me more lies
i will not listen
i will not be feeling betrayed
they will tell me
that you are dangerous
that you have fangs and claws
and that soon like a tigress
you shall eat my body
alive

it does not really matter to me now
i am in love
and i am ready to die

just one night of love
an hour of passion
a kiss

it does not really matter now
kiss me and kill me
and gladly shall i comply

i bend my knees
and admit my own foolishness
