To My Secret Beloved (2) Poem by Besma Jemaa

To My Secret Beloved (2)

Today my beloved has been enslaved again
By the same dirty hands but not in the same way.
They mistified her identity and raped her chastity
They invaded her territory and claimed her their property
It has never been, it is not and it will never be.
It is our home, the only truth that is unique.
Don't worry baby,
You're the Saint, you're the holly,
You're the ever-protected unconditionally.
