Myself And Me Poem by Besma Jemaa

Myself And Me

I like to be myself wherever I go
Whoever I meet
I want to be me but how can it be
It is scattered, shattered, dispersed,
by the one here the one there
the how and then
the when and where
I want to join me to myself
but it's escaping me
I want to collect my parts of me precisely
from everybody and you precisely
Oh! My God, how difficult
to put back the psycho puzzle of me
I myself hardly recognise me
In this multifacial world around me
You have to smile if not you're laughed at
You have to cheer even if you don't feel it
It's really hard to be myself and me, isn't it.

When you do you have the antidote to most personal problems! Meanwhile enjoy the multiplicity of you - these are your prolific years! A nicely expressed multiplicity... Rgds, Ivan
