To my veteran:
I'll never know, what being in a war zone is like
or what a mortar attack truly sounds like
But I do know, how safe I feel in your arms
and how I get full of goosebumps when we hold hands
I'll never know what it's like to drive on a dangerous road
or how it feels to carry your heavy load
what I do know, is that I'm grateful to have you
and that I thank God every day for you
there's a lot of things about war, I might not know
and there's a lot inside you, that you don't show
But all I want to say today
is that: I Love You
and thank you for your service to this country
on this Veteran's Day! ! !
