To Ponder Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

To Ponder

Frosts crab claws grab sharp, nipping toes
Daylight fading into dusk much earlier
The birth of a new autumn breaks its cocoon
Spreading glistening white crystals blanket
Cleansing the air with a sharpened bite
Breathing clouds of a dragon’s breathe
Exhaled into cupped numbed reddened hands
The season of golden leaves, silvered barks
Lakes of speckled sparkling ice lace
Glistening in the cold sunshine
Time to ponder on nature’s beauty
