To Quite Is To Win - Poem by Karim Hamade

I hold my will over broken glass
gashes and cuts through my every thought
my rigid mind holds me hostage
i will break free you will be fought
with grit and spit the cycle continues
through endless agony i still won't let you
torture me destroy me i will not break
i have the power i am the virtue
you are nothing a disgusting habit
you are nothing just a fake
the twilight of today is almost near
the dawn of a new day will soon arrive
i swear to you i have no fear
for one day you will not survive
