To Sail Poem by Keith Duperreault

To Sail

Emotion is a sea of ships
those fragile hulls cross crested tips
sails full of wind, some torn and ripped
upon my mind this water blue

My love for you a sea of sin
one dive, one splash, the surface thin
to find it colder deep within
upon my heart an icy grave

My trust for you a sea unknown
upon jagged rocks the tide is thrown
one rise, one fall, the crest is stolen
upon my soul a stormy gale
