To See You Again - Poem by jon barron

Some say you’re crazy
I know your not
They just don’t know you
I think you’re hot

From the first time I saw you I wanted to kiss you right there
Just tell you you’re beautiful, run my hands through your hair
My confidence left me; I never said ‘I like you’
So many chances I missed, I wish you just knew

So many chances missed, to tell how I feel
I liked you when we met, down by the sea
When you helped take care of ‘my boys’
I was so grateful, and full of joy
I wanted to tell you how beautiful and gorgeous you are
But could never find the moment, or the words, how to start?

I loved coming to see them and having you there
I still regret never saying so, or saying I cared
Knowing you’re coming back to the island again
I just can’t stop thinking, get you out of my head

How you make me smile, when you are around
Looking into those eyes, I’d not make a sound
Just be happy to know that you’re nearby
Not seeing you right now is making me sigh

I want to make you happy, and show you trust
Keep you safe, these are all things I must
I wish I could write a better poem or song
Till you return it seems just so long
