To Tell You What I Feel Poem by Lindsay erika

To Tell You What I Feel

I could write you a simple melody
of those misunderstood feelings that have appeared.
The ones that you took with your magic wand
and dangled into my stream.
Like the river meets the sea, you followed me.
I could sing you a song written from these two hands.
But then I would have to let you in on a secret
and what am I to do with a vulnerable thought?
Like the knife meets my skin, you let me in.
This presence could not will not handle much more.
You've been stacking these words up.
Higher than mountains,
and these words have been used as weapons.
Like the breath of fresh air, you kept me there.
