To The World, If Only I Could Poem by Theo Merma

To The World, If Only I Could

Rating: 5.0

If only I could heal each ones pain
Their broken heart and their aching vein
If only I could hold each of those longing hands...
And give them the compassion, they want

If only I could feed each of those growling stomach
Or just make every hungry forget the fact
That someone, somewhere
Is right now eating on a silverware

If only I could show to their tired eyes
The beauty of this paradise
If only I could sing to them
All of these beautiful hymn

And you, yes you
The one listening to this poem of blue
Do you not feel a pinching on your heart
Do you not see, someone out there is in the dark?

Some people ask for more, do things for more
Hurt people to get more
To money they were lured
But what about the others, what about the others? !

And you, the one who is in blue
Because you think life cheated on you
Do you not have enough
Reason to fight and make your pain stop?

I couldn't speak to everyone,
I couldn't do anything in instant
I only have my 'if's' for this world
To the world, IF only I could

'I feel the pain. Everyday, it hurts me thinking that life has been really unfair to some, that they can't even eat well. And some people keeps on asking for more, without appreciating what they have in life, or making just a little move to make someone happy..' -Theo
