To Write A Poem - Poem by Robert J. Bartlett

To write a poem is the task to which I'm set;
To write a poem says I, but I don't think I'll bet,
Upon the essence, or variety, or the choice of words I've used.
Since I've never written one before, I'm hoping you're amused.

    Yes, we are greatly amused to read your first attempt at poetry writing. It is all the more interesting to note that it was written more than 60 years ago. Thanks for sharing, Robert. We hope more are coming this way. (Report) Reply
