Today Poem by Jessica Foster

Today

I am grasping at the air,
but you are so out of reach.
I'm wondering if you even care
of if this is a lesson you have to teach.
I am lost without ever leaving.
This thoughts are within reason.
You push me away for deceiving.
You act as if I committed treason.
I try to be happy,
but you've made it so hard.
I don't mean to sound sappy
or like this is a greeting card.
Your mind has been made,
but this story isn't done.
It isn't over till the last brick is laid.
You have no where left to run.
I wish I could make you stay,
but it's always been this way.
You will listen to what I have to say...
It ends today.
