Today I’ve sent you another letter
As always waiting for your reply;
You do not write me. Have I deserved it?
You want to let me lie down and die…
The time I saw you in the black dress
I realized - I need you so!
I asked the butler for your address;
How my heart trembled you’ll never know
And line by line my quill was shaking
In unison with the serenade
My soul was singing and expecting…
A pair of verses could change my fate
Again a day passed without your answer.
Will I be waiting (for it) till my heart dies?
If you wish so – I am ready!
Let it be my love’s sacrifice!
