Tolerance Poem by Sukumar Choudhuri

Sukumar Choudhuri

Sukumar Choudhuri

Balarampur Village in the District of Purulia in West Bengal.

Tolerance

While raising the finger
I could remember
Nobody chased me as yet
Even for more horrific and scandalous sins
I did…

As if
There were none
Sharper and even more
Complex integrity
So far.

As if
I have witnessed self
Utter disloyal
On the reflex.

As if
I haven't learnt to
Forgive
As yet.
