Tolu Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

Tolu

Tolu had a free spirit and as wise as owl
You could listened to her talk all day
The amazing and cutest face I have seen
She was just a breath of fresh air
How do i heal myself also?
The doctor told me to cut my toes off
We haven't search to find yet
But it is showing out in the blue
Waters are running in our bridges
The worlds are sitting on its cracks
Some are rambling in circles round
Death has a name I don't know
If not so, i would have helped push a train
The olds are scared, the young are stupid
Some can't even pick their nose
Without injuring their eyes
Healing and love, i need to jump in its pool
There are puzzles i've not solved yet
I still ask questions for answers like kids
Just like everyone else does
The earth is crying out at his maker
I'm pulling my caring up more than once
Some men are movie stars, they ain't real
May God forgives her hit man too
You day was quicker than I think, Sis Tolu
Why have you choosed to leave fast?
Like a dream before the morn breaks?
The land will still be green from rain
Our prayer will always be for you
May our lord Christ Jesus in heaven
Help you enjoy the rest of your journey.
