Tongues Poem by Ihor Victor Adaškievic

Tongues

Tongues nail to the gates of truth.
And you say what is dictated from above:
All this moralism, the cult of the family,
Religion and saluting the flag.

Holding the populus in an electronic concentration camp,
Asserting that it should be so.
After all, it pleases Alpha and Omega,
What is the name of the national government.
But, to be honest, I don't care:

I have already made a choice
And, my conscience slipped
The fact that the world can be fair.
But, it is necessary to strive for it.

Because we have to
Leave something for the future.
Which looks in the eyes
Our children.
