Tonight Poem by farnaz alinasab

Tonight

Tonight,
Like all the nights,
My heart’s beating so fast,
Like an imprisoned butterfly,
Wants to get out and fly,
Towards heaven.
Tonight,
Like all the nights,
I am walking,
on the road of memories.
I know it is only an excuse.
This is you,
I am walking into.
I stop to swallow my tears,
Like a sip of sea,
bitter and salty.
This salty water cannot relieve thirst.
Ah,
What would have been,
If I had a ladder,
Till my moon?
I would smell the meaning of sense,
Taste the perfume of beauties,
Listen to the thunderclaps of love.
Tonight,
Like all the nights,
I think, how should i stop missing you.
