Too An Eclipse Poem by Kevin Patrick

Too An Eclipse

Night woke her chorus, in springs of silhouettes
Dancing round moonlights nimble cotton face
then darkness crept, shackling gleamed coronet
til her reflection drowned, holes in velvet space
black tides swelled, over the naked circle
As threads of light were sharpened on her rim
Penumbras burst, fuliginous and fertile
casting lights reflexes within the calming din
and stars smiled back in cloaks of constellations
as emporiums of comets raised and soared
in pageants of absorbing visitations
all fireflies were shown and infinity roared
Then light came back with a thundering kiss
And the moon was reborn out from her eclipse
