Too Bad Poem by Azachem Azachemov

Too Bad

'I cheated myself
Like I knew I would
I told ya, I was trouble
You know that I'm no good'
Amy Winehouse. You Know I'm No Good

***

Bizarre tattoos and heavy makeup
A laugh that sounded like a cry...
But her own fate - she couldn't fake it
Too bad to live, too young to die

One big and terrible disaster
She messed up everything she could
No trouble ever made it past her
But then again, she was no good

Too often soaking wet and lonely
She'd watch with Lucy in the Sky
Those weird dreams that made it only
Too bad to live, too young to die

Her soul, it would be singing daily
And nightly - howling in the wood
Through stormy clouds and waters sailing
But then again, she was no good

She was no good, she was no angel
At best, a one-day butterfly
That day is over - she stopped aging
Too bad to live, too young to die...
