Too Late Now Poem by Keri McGlaughlin

Too Late Now

Her wrists are unmarked
Her smile fixated on
She looks pure and clean

Looks are deceiving
Inside her heart is torn up
her emotions cut

Everything is fake
It is all a big fat lie
Even so their fooled

Weeks later shes gone
'There was never any sign'
Murmurs the still crowd

There is one who knew
She saw all the signs unfold
She saw the warnings

She sees it all now
The poems and sad looks
But its too late now

She sees clearly now
She understands the hints
But its too late now
