Too Much To Ask Poem by Melissa Joy Chesky

Too Much To Ask

Just walking hand in hand
Barefoot amongst the sand
Dancing in the moonlight
Such as a candle in the night
Whispers between romantics
Giggling about different antics
Secretly passing possibilities
Each other's endless curiosities
Simply being
And seeing
A glow in their eyes
That they couldn't ever find in childhood fireflies.
A slow dance or maybe two
With many eyes following or only few
A hidden glance
With possibly, a chance
Not either face behind a false mask;
Since when was this too much to ask?
