Toothache Poem by Kriztan Rei Palces

Toothache

Your face housed the sweetest smile
the one that fuels me for a thousand miles
and every time we stare at each others eyes
i sense a mutual feeling of not wanting to say goodbye

we've known each other since we were nine or ten
and in each others shoulder ones' crying ends
we obviously care for each other
and both are in denial of being lovers

i can't fight this feeling of wanting to be with you
and i believed that i know you feel it too
so i have this confession rolled up my sleeve
and i know you have the same up in yours- i believe..

and boom! my words are finally said
but the mood changed at your sentence's end
you bid goodbye and my insides bled
ripped by the words '...too, but only as a friend.'

all these times it's my eyes i saw reflected in your eyes
which explains the tears in your last goodbye
that single truth made all other truth lies
some truths are sweet, some are nice, but all of them bites.
