Your loving touch and soft embrace.
The smile that shows upon you face.

The way I feel when you are near.
And how you rid me of my fear.

For all the times I've tried to run.
And countless moments filled with fun.

For all the silly things you say.
And how you brighten every day.

The way you cause my face to smile,
and make this life seem more worthwhile.

These are the things I can't control.
I guess because you've touched my soul.

And through your eyes I learned to see,
my inner self, the real me.

You've helped me make it through the day,
and chased the storm clouds far away.

You taught me how to trust again.
I'm honored to have you as my friend.
