Tough Woman Poem by Sebastian Soberania

Tough Woman

tough woman
do i see you crying now?

do you hate
everything around you?
the small flat
the routinous breakfast
the bland taste of the soup
the same kind of
music through and through
same faces of
occupants
rusty door knobs
and garbaged gardens

tough woman
do you finally give up?

working so hard for the money
sacrificing what is freeing
and artistic
check the voice within
listen

are these all worth doing?
come, sip coffee with me.
let us be silent
for once.
