Toxic
Slithering into my heart,
All the venomous lies
Forked tongue,
Whispering in my ear
Never to trust again
Never to love
Never to find a heart to forgive
Eyes like poison
Filling up my soul with hate
Words like daggers
Cutting into the mind
Offering hope to the damned
Lulling war into peace
Wretched though you are
A snake to say the least
