Toxic Poem by Martyna Szmigielska

Toxic

I remember the smile that you gave me the first time,
It could be considered a petty crime.

I remember the first dumb joke,
The path that you have shown.

It feels like I met you yesterday,
But in real life, it's so away.

I wish you could stay,
And say this dumb joke again.

I can still feel your lips,
That incredible kiss.

I want you in my arms,
But I know how it starts.

The poison that runs in our veins,
All of those little games.

We make each other toxic,
We both get sick.

And at the end, we will both cry,
Wishing we could die.

But I want to be hurt again,
There's nothing I can't gain.

I can go through the same pain.
As long as you follow me in that rain.

You will be always the one that I love,
You will always be above.

You're the love of my life,
Will you be my wife?
