Traditional Take Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Traditional Take

Village is the name-
That resonates with affection
Reverberates, vibrates and booms
Resounding variety of echoes
With the heat and warmth
Of love and hamlet traditions
Of rural background-
Literally translated into
Into the village community
An umbrella of cooperation
Intrinsic part, of live-culture
A life-style, unforgettable.

Vivid imagination about women
Collectively working in the fields
On their way bringing water
From the village-wells, in groups
Cleaning of grains, rice and pulses
Grouping, in common court-yards
In formation of lines or semi-circles.

Single sightseeing of uniting moment
Telling unsaid tales of the hard work
The magic of hands, feet and fingers
That the rural India is made of-
It's not a simple story to take home
But, much more than just, a live story.
