Tragedies Of Endurance Poem by Shawn Peery

Tragedies Of Endurance

Depraving, and smiling, and walking away.

I've given, you've taken, I'm crawling away.

You say, that you, are a big let down.

I begged to differ, I loved having you around

So many tragedies shaped your ideology,

And I can't figure you out, not even with

psychology. But I built you up, and you crushed

me down. A routine mistrusting, self-indulging

queen, even your crown, has flaws that bound.

Hating, is pointless, giving in, is too easy, But I've

never forgot, I will not forget, you. This bitter taste

is a trace, back to this desolate place, in the back of

my mind, moments to bind, to burn, to twist and to turn

to wish for just one simple word. From you
