Shawn Peery Poems

A normal life is boring, and robots are to blame.
I blame them all, for they are all the same.
They rise to go to work, feed there wife and their kids,
They think that this is right, but they've lost their lids.
...

There is a man who has a green thumb
Who thought that everyone else thought, that he was dumb
He'd research the world, on long ambitious nights
And oh, the things he found, blew out his insight
...

Cheers to you comrade!
The very red flushed face
you walk the streets with,
staggering and swaying with
...

Depraving, and smiling, and walking away.

I've given, you've taken, I'm crawling away.

Summer ’07

Take away. The sun shining down on me. Take away, the trees blowing in the wind, it's like a sad song, reminds me of summer day, when everything went so wrong.
...

I don't what it is you do, make me feel someway I never, ever felt before. And I don't know what it is that you do, but your voice is a chorus inside my mind.

And I'm stuck inside the memory, I'm stuck inside, the tears you cried, but they're not mine, you'd smile at me and say I'm fine, and I knew that it wasn't true.

To The Hills

A normal life is boring, and robots are to blame.
I blame them all, for they are all the same.
They rise to go to work, feed there wife and their kids,
They think that this is right, but they've lost their lids.
Don't ye have a craft, and a hobby of some sort?
Then focus on that, because life is too short.
This is a message to all my comrades. Get out of your
houses, and be more productive lads.Focus on your craft just one time, and if it's not for you, then that's fine, find something else, a passion if you will, stop lounging at home and take to the hills.
