Trail Poem by Jerry Shalden

Trail

just place your hand
upon my hip and walk
with me a little bit
down the trail to the beach
slowly strolling quietly
your head softly upon
my chest peacefully
resting your sighs
as you breath my scent
over and over again
deeper than the last time
till you feel my rhyme
dance inside your mind
as my rhythm beats to
our steps as breath is
caught in your throat
you sigh for the tears
falling as the love you
feel comes bleeding out
your eyes to dropp the fears
and loneliness by the
wayside as we cuddle
closer to hold back
the shivers of never again
fall into me
just place a kiss
upon my lips and
softly breathe my name
as our hearts talk of
whispered dreams
in a language of sighs
and soft stroking fingers...
