Transatlanticism Poem by Joey DeSantis

Transatlanticism

Rating: 5.0

Those three nights in salt lake
When you meant so much
But nothing at all

With the summer smiles
and winter weeping
Those last few moments

When we meant so much
But nothing at all

The dark grey clouds
and troubling hours
Thinking there was something
but nothing at all.

Our one last touch.
When it felt like something

False.

Your dark brown hair
Running through the sheets.

When we meant so much
But nothing at all
