Transgression Poem by Marijo Pinero

Transgression

The world is turning evil precariously
The impact of war is creating havoc to humanity
Stability is far from occurring in that country
Flags waving with lies and hypocrisy
Faith and belief diminished in silence

In the minds of compatriots
Who longed for peace and truth
Young soldiers died unnecessarily
Several thousands are buried in the cemetery
With their love ones graving and clamoring for justice
Abomination... a 'self inflicted wound.'

Well, not bad for Iraq situation. The persona must have a brother or friend serving there. Yeah, it is somewhat 'a self-inflicted wound', I agree.
