I saw them cross-dressing,
Trying to speak like girls
In a changed tone
Behind the Ramlila and Krishnalila
Folk theatre stages.

Shakespearean artistes,
Ramlila and Krishnalila folk theatre men,
Classical artistes,
How did they,
Did they cross-dress
To part their roles?
