Trapped By My Doings Poem by esther angwena

Trapped By My Doings

I try to do better, to be better
But change seems to not matter,
For a while, I believe I am not my past,
But that does not last.

I am trapped by my doing
Crying in need of rescuing,
Tears remain dry
Silent utters unable to answer why

The chains on me are so loud,
I can't ignore the sound,
Let go of me, please
I just want peace!

I am trapped by my doing
Crying in need of rescuing,
My tears remain dry
My words were so silent, unable to answer why.
