Trapped In The Hourglass By Allahrazi Rajput

The sands of time, a cruel cascade,
Slip through my fingers, never stayed.
Each grain a memory, sharp and bright,
Fueling the ember of endless night.

This cursed condition, a twisted plight,
Forever tethered to fading light.
I watch the seasons turn and churn,
A spectator, never to return.

Faces I loved, now etched in stone,
Whispers of laughter, forever flown.
The world a tapestry, vibrant and bold,
But I, a prisoner, forever old.

No gentle sleep, no sweet release,
Only the echo of a fading peace.
To witness empires rise and fall,
Hear the mourning doves' mournful call.

This endless vigil, a heavy strain,
Yearning for oblivion, the sweet refrain.
But the Fates hold tight, a cruel decree,
Immortality's curse, a mockery.

Oh, to break free from this gilded cage,
To join the stillness of a bygone age.
For even diamonds lose their shine,
When trapped in time, forever thine.
