Trauma Poem by Kristy Shelton

Trauma

I'll never write
Another word
As long as I shall live

For you have made me
Cold and bitter
I've nothing left to give

I'll never look
Up to the stars
And wish for silly things

For wishes are
Just mindless thoughts
On angels broken wings

I'll never look
At you again
And see love in your eyes

Now all I see
When I look at you
Is just a bunch of lies

You'll never know
How much it hurts
To say the things I've said

But this has to be
The end of us
What we had is dead

Very poignant and painful commentary on a relationship gone sour and haywire. Thanks. For wishes are / Just mindless thoughts / On angels broken wings But this has to be / The end of us / What we had is dead
