Carpe Diem Poem: Treasure the Moment
I do not chase the gilded chest,
Nor hoard the silver, gold, or stone;
The world's rich wealth cannot compare
To laughter shared, to love well-known.
The road I walk, the wind I feel,
The sun that warms my fleeting skin—
These are the treasures I will claim,
Not things that sit and never grin.
For all I own may fade to dust,
But moments lived remain my prize;
A song, a touch, a daring leap
Outlasts the riches of the wise.
So give me sunrise, not the coin,
The journey, not the guarded gate;
For life is richest when I live,
Not in the vaults of fear or fate.
