Treasured Day Poem by Andjela Antic

Treasured Day

I see you afar
As I drag my fingers across my guitar
I uprise my head
I behold at the sky
As your smile catches my eye
Turn my head your way
Around you I feel so powerless
So I smile back at you
In front of me a beautiful view
Soft tones, I'm pulling strings
Wind playing with my long curly hair
I continue humming to the sounds
As your lovely voice I hear
Closer and closer to me
You sat beside me
Both of us with one hand down on the grass
We shyly look at each other
I feel you can see thru me like thru glass
Again I feel zephyr on my skin
I feel like in a billow of love I'll drown
I saw you lean
Put your head on my shoulder
I let out quiet giggle
We stayed like that a little
You lift up your head
You looked plumbless into my eyes
I blushed
Took my hands and said
You look like a nimph
I could look at you forever
So magical
Like a fairy mystical
Edges of my dress were flowing with the wind
When you cupped my face and let our lips dance together
I felt esurient for you
I've been longing for this very moment
My hand found your cheek
Now I let my heart speak
It sang and sang heavenly like melodies
We both smile not breaking eye contact
It's the bravest thing I have ever done
