Treasures Poem by Bobbi Carson

Treasures

8-27-20

Why are your gifts
Wrapped tightly up in doubt
Collecting the dust of yesterday
Shoved and stomped, while flattened out
Go out and search for these treasures so long neglected. Unstack and plump the boxes back to life. Cut and untie the strings of confinement, holding back joys of today. Slice open and behold the beauty that lies. Tell your family and all your friends. Sing it to the world. Give away these gifts for they are meant to be shared.
