Without the trees to guide ones way,
Its impossible to keep or stay.
To just exist, despite the race
Can comfort most, just adjust the pace.
Watch the birds of different types share some seeds with delight.
Momma keeps her chicks in sight, guiding gently all their sights.
Just a call, the family flees, a scavenger near the birds take flight,
To return again before tis night.
How quick the calm amid the trees
Can disappear in just a sneeze.
This calm and simple sharing grains should show our race we are all the same.
The colours different on each one, don't change the birds daily sums.
They eat, they drink, they groom, they rest.
They fly around their favourite nest.
Yet in the normal must exist a scavenger to stir the mix.
Instinct they trust and dive for cover, as the danger looms and hovers.
It is sad our trees can not decree "you're safe with me, you needn't flee"
For with the calm, there must be plight,
To help us find our lighted path, we first must see what we shouldn't be.
From my tree it startles me,
That even birds can disagree.
But for the tree, it protects me it doesn't ask, it just receives.
The worried, the sad, the happy, the weak
The knowledge and deceipt.
The kind, the blind, the eager the stout,
Why can't the tree keep scavengers out!
