Triangle Poem by Holly Peterson

Triangle

You said you were over her.
I knew but couldn't accept it.
You told me you hated her,
that you you could forget.
I see now, I was the distraction.
But obviously not enough of one.
Because you still have feelings for her,
And Im hurt.
I was the tip of the triangle,
So if I leave it wont hurt the base.
I want you to be happy in whatever way.
Forget about me and the love I have for you.
It's been the two of you forever
three is an odd number and that's me.
The triangle has now become a line.
Forget about me,
Maybe someday I'll be alright
But not tonight...
