Tribute To Virginia Tech Poem by Alfred Ramos

Tribute To Virginia Tech

Rating: 5.0

With the taste of tears upon my tongue
I grieve for those old and young
Taken too soon from everyone
Too soon to see a black sun
I think I hear an angel crying
From too many dreams dying
I can hear Gabriel’s sad refrain
As we once again discover pain
What was the last whisper spoken?
A promise that will be broken
I wonder if by some lost regret
We will learn to forget
In these moments of despair
Where we breathe the same air
Will we learn to forgive?
Find more strength for which to live
How many tears will fill the void?
Caused by some paranoid
And of course there is no answer
For this on going cancer
With one faithful glance
They lost the chance
To perform one final dance
So we pay tribute with a prayer
And a silent applause
Because, because, because
