Tried Poem by Rachel Byrum

Tried

I'm tired of always keeping this smile on my face
Tired of lying and saying I'm okay
And watching you walk away
Can't you see all my lies
With your owl eyes
Death seems like such a better place
Than always being your big disgrace
Can't anybody see my pain?
As my blood flows down the drain
I'm screaming out
Calling out for help
Can't anybody see that i can barely make myself eat
I'm always tripping over my own feet
And I'm about to admit mt own defeat
It seems my subtle attempts are in vain
What do i have to do?
Wait till my body turns icy blue
I really tried
But my happiness has died
All because i've tried so hard and lied
