True Hearts Are Rare
(Sonnet #214)
Who are we but veiled souls and frail hearts?
Gleam words raise us to heavenly blue skies
Mean words blaze our hearts as fiery sharp darts
Words make our hearts bloom or doom, live or die.
Cherish your heart, safeguard its dignity
Do not open its door to intruders,
Manipulators who drain your energy
To fulfill their plans upon your shoulders.
Precious our hearts and souls are to God
We're but a light from God's Heart as sunrays
Lit your heart with joy, love, hope, dim it not
Lit it with faith, faith always shows the way.
In this transient life, true hearts are rare
Honor your soulmate's love, it's beyond compare.
