True Light Poem by Je'free Y .

True Light

No pursuit. No anticipation.
For reasons beyond logic, love just spots you.

When even trophies are unable to make you smile,
Like dawn, love promises a much deserved reward.

Some paths intersect for people to come in full circle,
Transcending dark emptiness of money and material.

For a joy, I thought, I would never see the shadow of,
It comes easy to trade-off all the products
Of blood and sweat, the stardom.

We all dream of bright dreams for a lifetime -
Dreams that are blind with no guarantee of contentment;

But in your look, your touch, your words, your kiss,
The puzzle of my life shines into completion.

Through the tunnel of shallowness and superficiality,
I arrive at its end to see a genuine light,
A light that truly differentiates real from unreal,
Quantity of lovers & admirers versus the quality of one.

Our love is the eternal candle amidst the luster
Of the physical, the temporary glow that never lingers long.

We have come to this - Two sparks into a flame
That has finally burnt my desperation into ashes.

What is the need for need now?
What can anyone be more thankful for?
What precious treasure shall we preserve more than this?
