True Love

Rating: 5.0

I feel my tears crashing with my fears,
They mingle back and forth,
When I cry, I cry,
I let the water come drowning me,
And what I see,
With your eyes only,
I can’t stand it,
This feeling of sick sorrow for me,
The freckles in my eyes,
They fade away,
Trying to be forgotten,
As I am being me,
When you discover the light,
The star filled night,
I know you know,
I got no feelin’ anymore,
I start to sink when the water closes over,
When my face is permanently,
Permanently black and blue,
My frown is everlasting,
Carved tears with salt water,
Bloodshot and irritated,
Hate and confused,
Yet you love me,
And understand my anger,
Though I hurt you,
True love can’t suffer,
And you need me,
Like I need you,
When friends turn away,
You gently hold me,
And say you love me.
